Raveena Tandon’s Idea For Andaz Apna Apna Sequel’s First Shot Will Leave You In Splits

One of the most iconic films made in the history of Bollywood, Andaz Apna Apna is a true gem. Featuring Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon in lead roles, the Rajkumar Santoshi comedy had surprisingly tanked at the Box Office due to lack of publicity and tough competition. However, it was later showered with love from the audience and earned the tag of ‘one of the greatest comedies in recent times’. Well, much to our delight, writer Dilip Shukla had announced last year that he’s working on the sequel.

While he stated that Aamir and Salman will reprise their roles, no confirmation was given regarding Raveena and Karisma’s characters. Well, in a recent chat with Kareena Kapoor Khan on her radio show, Raveena shared her take on the sequel. She stated, “The first shot of the film will show a picture of me and Lolo (Karisma Kapoor) with an incense stick in front of it with Amar (Aamir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) mourning our demise. With us no longer in their lives, these two guys will then start their new love stories with 21-year-old actresses.”

Raveena went on to talk about the pressure on women for staying young forever and shared, “There has always been pressure on us actresses for staying young. What I find extremely hypocritical is how viewers and the media only talk about the women getting a surgery very conveniently forgetting that heroes use them too. Have our heroes found the eternal fountain of youth? Is it something that we don’t know about?”

The actress was last seen on the big screen in Ashtar Sayed’s thriller film Maatr.
