Ray: John Abraham's Film With Parmanu Director Abhishek Sharma To Go On Floors Mid Next Year?

John Abraham had given one of his finest performances in Parmanu and when earlier this year it was announced that he would collaborate with the film's director Abhishek Sharma again, our joy knew no bounds. Now, there's an update on the film.

Tentatively titled Ray, the film is all set to go on floors by mid next year. Talking to TOI, Abhishek Sharma said, "It’s something John had really liked. He has to figure out his dates for the film. I am looking forward to collaborating with him on this one."

Rohan Shankar, who wrote the script of Parmanu and is also working for Ray, added, "I am not sure if Ray is the title finalised for the film. We are all waiting for John to decide on his dates. Had the pandemic not put a halt to all the on-going work, Ray would have taken off by now. John will only take a call when his pending films are complete. From where I see it coming, the film could go on floors by mid next year or towards the end of 2021. I just know that John is very excited and he is producing the film. Ray revolves around a lot of novel things woven together with an interesting love story. I don’t think anyone has explored what Abhishek is exploring with it.”

Ray would be Rohan and Abhishek's third collaboration and the duo's second collab with John. The actor is currently busy shooting for Satyamev Jayate 2 alongside Divya Khosla Kumar.
