Release Of Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom Pushed To June From April Because Of Sooryavanshi? Here's What We Know

Akshay Kumar has four films that he has already shot and even though he is shooting for one currently, he would finish shooting another 2-3 by the end of this year. This would only mean that his fans are up for a real treat since the actor would be appearing on the big screens too often this year and the next year. In fact, makers are thinking of releasing his Sooryavanshi on April 2nd, which would be the first big film to release in theatres after the pandemic. However, this also raised questions as to whether there will be a situation close to Akshay Kumar clashing with himself on the box office since Bell Bottom is also scheduled for release in April. Looks like that would not be the case.

The latest report suggest that the makers of Bell Bottom are looking at delaying the film and releasing it in June. A source informed Mid Day, “An Akshay film usually translates to big box-office numbers. After the dry spell of the past several months, exhibitors and distributors are relying on tentpole films to bounce back into the business. Naturally, they don’t want Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom to come in such close proximity. So, the cop actioner will release first; meanwhile, the makers of Bell Bottom are exploring a release window in May or June.”

May would also be a busy month with Salman Khan's Radhe clashing with John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate 2. The spokespersons of both the films remained unavailable for comment.
