Rhea Chakraborty, Brother Showik's Bail Orders To Be Pronounced By A Special Court Tomorrow

Rhea Chakraborty had been arrested a day back by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on the charges of procuring drugs and for using it. This had happened after she had revealed in an interview that Sushant Singh Rajput would have marijuana almost every day after he shot for Kedarnath. Her brother, Showik Chakraborty had also been detained. The court was to hear their pleas today. Now, a special court would be hearing the plea again tomorrow.

In her plea, the actress' lawyer had stated, "The NCB has used these basic facts to spin a false narrative that portrays Rhea as being someone who finances the illicit traffic or harbouring of offenders. There is no allegation of Rhea having procured or financed any drug whatsoever outside of the period during which she was in a relationship with Rajput." It was rejected by the magistrate court and the actress had to go through medical checkup in Sion hospital, following which she has been kept in 14 days of judicial custody and spent a night in Byculla Jail. Her brother had been detained along with Samuel Miranda and Sushant's cook Dipesh Sawant last week.

The CBI and the ED had also been investigating the actor's death and looking into claims of whether any money was siphoned from Sushant's account.
