Rhea Chakraborty Lawyer Says Actress Is Ready For Arrest, Hasn't Applied For Anticipatory Bail

Rhea Chakraborty has been facing charges for the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Rajput and Rhea had been dating for almost a year before the former was found dead in his Bandra apartment and his father pressed charges of abetment of suicide on the latter. She has been summoned by the Narcotics Control Board (NCB) today to look into the drug angle in the actor's death. Now, Rhea's lawyer, Satish Manshinde has revealed that the actress has not applied for any anticipatory bail.

This means that if the NCB arrests Rhea today, she would not be able to get bail and would be going to jail! But why did the actress not take this measure? According to a tweet by ANI, the lawyer said, "#RheaChakraborty is ready for arrest as it's a witch-hunt. If loving someone is a crime she'll face the consequences of her love. Being innocent she hasn't approached any court for an anticipatory bail in all cases foisted by Bihar Police with CBI, ED & NCB."

Rhea had claimed before in an interview that she has been cooperating with all the investigating agencies and that she is facing an unfair trial by media. The actress' brother, Showick, has been taken into custody by the NCB till 9th September and would be produced before the court on that day. After his arrest, their father, in a statement said, "Congratulations, India. You’ve arrested my son, I'm sure my daughter is next on the line. You’ve effectively demolished a middle-class family. Of course, for the sake of Justice, everything is justified. Jai Hind."
