Rhea Chakraborty Receives Flak On Twitter For Requesting For A CBI Probe In Sushant Singh Rajput’s Case A Month Later

Rhea Chakraborty had been away from social media for a month after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The actress who recently accepted she was dating the late actor in note to Home Minister Amit Shah is now receiving flak online for requesting a CBI probe in the case. Rhea was apparently living with the actor but had moved out some days before his death.

Rhea's last post on social media was on the day of Sushant's death and after the news broke out that the actor had hanged himself on the afternoon of June 14, the actress was summoned by the police for questioning in the case. Rhea's brother's statement has also been recorded by the police.

It was exactly after a month of Sushant’s demise that Rhea posted a heartfelt note for him on social media and later shared another posting revealing that she's been on the receiving end of some vile comments from users online. The actress also alerted the cyber police through her post as she has been getting death and rape threats online. 

On July 17, Rhea tagged home minister Amit Shah to call for a CBI inquiry in the case and referred to herself as Sushant's girlfriend for the first time. She wrote, "Respected @AmitShah sir , I’m sushants Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry... I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures, prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely."

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, on the other hand, has declined requests for a CBI probe as according to him no foul play is still suspected in the matter and the police is looking at the case from all angles.
