Rhea Chakraborty Spotted With Brother Showik Months After Release From Jail, Siblings Look For A New House In Mumbai

Actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty were spotted out and about town after several months on Sunday, 3 January. The siblings were out looking for a new home in Mumbai and were clicked after their visit to a property of interest in the city.

This was Rhea’s first time being clicked outside her home since she was released from jail in the month of October and Showik who was released on bail in the month of December. The sister and brother duo who have faced a harsh time with the press during their visits to various investigating agencies in the Sushant Singh Rajput death probe made no move to interact with the photographers trailing them.

Rhea wore a pink sweatshirt with the message ‘Love is power’ coupled with a pair of black pants and her face covered in a mask. The Chehre actress had to spend a month in jail after she was placed in judicial custody by the NCB on allegations of being involved in the delivery and payment of drugs in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. On similar allegations, Showik was put in jail a couple of days before the actress and after several attempts at getting bail he was finally released from prison on 2 December.

According to filmmaker Rumi Jaffery who recently met her, the actress has been recuperating from the traumatic events of 2020 that turned her life around and is planning to resume work in early 2021.  

Recalling his meeting with the actress he said in an interview, “She was withdrawn and quiet. Didn’t speak much. Can’t blame her after what she has gone through. Let the heat and dust settle down. I’m sure Rhea will have a lot to say.”
