Rhea Chakraborty Was With Sushant Till The End, Says Rumy; Slams Trolls For Calling Her A Gold Digger

Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last on 14^th June, leaving the entire nation in shock. While most fans mourned the loss of the exceptionally talented and hard-working actor, trolls decided to take their anger out on social media by bullying his rumored girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. Many are blaming her for the drastic step that Sushant took and one fan from Bihar has even filed a criminal complaint against her, accusing her of abetting the suicide of the actor. According to Rhea’s statement to the police, she left Sushant’s house on 8^th June after the actor asked her to leave.

Some fans are now calling Rhea a gold digger while others are claiming that she used Sushant for fame and success. Filmmaker Rumy Jafry, who was pretty close to the couple and had signed them for his next project, defended the actress in a chat with Bollywood Hungama and revealed that she’s under a lot of stress. He stated that she is just an innocent girl and he is worried that she may crack under pressure. Reacting to trolls, he said, “Were you there? Did Sushant tell you anything about his equation with Rhea? Do you have any idea how devoted she was to him? When you talk about her as gold-digger it is shameful.”

Rumy also made a request to the public and said, “If you really love him please show some respect for the people close to him. Please stop pointing an accusing finger at Rhea. She was with Sushant till the end. She kept going to her own home which was very close to Sushant’s residence. But she never abandoned him.” He further stated, “Woh ant tak Sushant ke saath thi. She spent 6-7 hours at the police station answering all the questions about him. Uss bechari pe kya guzri hogi. She is not a calculating gold digger. She loved Sushant…so did we all. But it doesn’t mean we should abuse those who are live. That won’t bring him back.”

In her statement to the police, Rhea had also mentioned that she and Sushant were looking for a house together and had planned to tie the nuptial knot by the end of this year.
