Rhea Chakraborty's Judicial Custody Extended By NDPS Court, Actress And Others To Stay In Jail Till October 20

Rhea Chakraborty’s troubles with the Narcotics Control Bureau don’t seem to come to an end. The actress whose bail plea is yet to get the court’s assent will now have to remain in jail till October 20 in the drug probe associated with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The NDPS court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Rhea and her brother Showik along with SSR’s staff members Samuel Miranda and Dipesh Sawant. The Jalebi actress was arrested on September 9 under Section 27A (punishment for illicit traffic and harbouring offenders) of the NDPS Act and has applied for bail in the Bombay High Court.

After a hearing last week the court is yet to deliver its verdict on the case and order on the same is expected to arrive sometime on October 7.

In the meantime, in a significant development in CBI’s probe the AIIMS panel appointed for a conclusive medical-legal opinion pertaining to the cause of death of the 34-year-old actor, has ruled out murder as a conspiracy theory and upheld the original postpartum and autopsy reports of the actor.

After this the CBI is yet to file a report on the matter while the followers of the deceased star await justice.
