Rhea Chakraborty’s Lawyer Satish Maneshinds: ‘Whatever I Charge My Clients Is Nobody’s Concern’

Rhea Chakraborty who was in a live-in relationship with the late actor has been questioned by the CBI and the ED and now, her family members too are being grilled by the premier investigating agency of the country. The Jalebi actress has hired India’s top lawyer Satish Maneshinde for defending her in the case. Satish Maneshinde is one of the most experienced lawyers and has handled high profile cases of many Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Right from the time Satish has been hired by the actress, there are many who have been raising questions on the amount that Rhea has been paying him for his services. 

In fact, taking to her Instagram handle Sushant's sister Shweta Singh Kirti had asked Rhea how is she paying her lawyer’s fees. She wrote, "You are worried about how you will be paying 17,000 in EMI, please tell me how are you paying the most expensive lawyer of India you have hired?? #RheaTheLiar." 

In an interview with Zoom TV, Satish said how much he charges for his services has got nothing to do with anybody. He said, "There is a projection from a news article published 10 years back that my fees are 10 lakhs. Why are we looking at a 10-year-old article? That way today my fees would be more. Whatever I charge my clients is nobody's concern. If at all income tax asks me my fees, I'll tell it to them in a particular manner. I wouldn't want to discuss something which is so private between me and my client." 

He added that Rhea was very upset because his family was being hounded and also stated that they kept quiet because they wanted the law to take its own course, "Rhea was tired because her family was hounded. They were saying she's a VIP accused who's getting protection and all but that was not the case. We had to ask for it. We were quiet all along because we were letting investigation agencies do their job but their lawyers kept speculating murder/suicide,” he told the portal.
