Rhea Chakraborty's Lawyer Tells Apex Court The Actress Was In Love With Sushant Singh Rajput, Being Victimised Now

The Supreme Court held a hearing of actress Rhea Chakraborty’s petition seeking transfer of the case filed against her by the Patna Police to Mumbai. Her legal counsel told the Supreme Court today that the actress was in love with the late actor and was traumatized after his death. He also added that she’s being victimized now.

According to reports, Divan also stated that Sushant Singh Rajput’s father is using influential relatives to frame the actress. The actress wants the case to be probed by the Mumbai police alleging the Bihar police had no business taking up the case as no incident occurred in Patna. The court was also told that the actress has become a scapegoat of political agendas stating that the Bihar Govt. is using the case to gain political mileage in upcoming state elections.

Rhea’s lawyer also argued that the Bihar government had to right to recommend the case for a CBI probe and wants that the agency only goes forward on the direction of the Supreme Court.

The Bihar government in the meanwhile argued that they had jurisdiction in the matter citing precedents set by the SC while Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh argued that the Mumbai Police failed to register F.I.R despite being notified by the family in February about their concerns related to Sushant.

The apex court has reserved its decision after today’s hearing and asked all parties to submit brief notes.
