Richa Chaddha Files Defamation Case Against Payal Ghosh And Kamaal R Khan, Seeks Rs. 1.1 Crores In Damages

Her plea says that Payal and others have allegedly used her name in the claims against a third person which were not just “false, frivolous and vexatious’  but has also been done to damage the goodwill that she earned over the years with her hard work and determination and that this was an irreparable damage done because of which she was tremendously stressed and humiliated. 

Richa’s counsel Virendra Tulzapurkar and Saveena Bedi Sachar were present in the hearing that happened via video-conferencing. However, what is worth noting is ‘Payal and others’ were not present before the court and that is why the Bombay HC has now directed the hearing on 7 October, ‘20 and has also asked for the documents to be re-served.
