Richa Chadha Opens Up About Dabbling Into Script Writing During The Lockdown Last Year, Calls Phoebe Waller-Bridge Her Inspiration

Richa Chadha has been an actress par excellence. She is immensely talented and has displayed her range in acting by giving us some of the most memorable characters of Hindi cinema like Bholi Punjaban in Fukrey or Devi Pathak from Masaan. But, did you know that the actress had also been trying her hand in script writing recently?

In an interview with Mid Day, Richa revealed that she has always had a keen interest in writing and the lockdown gave her the chance to dabble into scriptwriting as well. She revealed, “I’ve always enjoyed writing. It’s one of my go-to activities that help clear my mind. As the lockdown descended upon us last year, I took up writing in a more creative way and tried my hand at scriptwriting. My biggest inspiration has been [actor-writer] Phoebe Waller-Bridge. I feel actors should attempt writing. Whether [the first draft] is good or bad, it doesn’t matter.”

In fact, she has been trying to write a dark comedy and has also been dedicating a few hours every day to it. Well, she is a multi-faceted talent indeed and we would love to see her script being turned into a film soon. Earlier this year, the actress had also launched her own production house.
