    Rishi Kapoor died in Mumbai on the morning of April 30 where he succumbed to leukemia after two years of fighting the disease. The veteran Bollywood actor’s loss is monumental to the film industry and his fans and he will truly be missed by millions.

    A statement from the actor’s family confirmed the actor demise saying he died at 8:45 AM in the hospital and was jovial throughout the two years of his cancer treatment here and in New York. Condolences are pouring in from all corners mourning the loss of Rishi Kapoor who entertained audiences with his films for over 4 decades in Bollywood.


    Prime Minister Narendra Modi too penned a heartfelt message as a tribute and tweeted, “Multifaceted, endearing and lively...this was Rishi Kapoor Ji. He was a powerhouse of talent. I will always recall our interactions, even on social media. He was passionate about films and India’s progress. Anguished by his demise. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti.”
