R.I.P. Saroj Khan: Madhuri Dixit’s Tabaah Ho Gaye From Kalank Was The Last Track Masterji Choreographed

In her 46 year long career Saroj ji, fondly called Masterji, choreographed over 2,000 songs including iconic tracks such as Hawa Hawai, Ek Do Teen, Tamma Tamma Loge and Dhak Dhak Karne Laga. The last song that she ever choreographed was for Karan Johar’s 2019 film Kalank. Masterji worked with her favorite student Madhuri Dixit for the song Tabaah Ho Gaye and the dance moves were so graceful and elegant that they became one of the biggest highlights of the period drama. Take a look at the sweet behind the scenes video, featuring Saroj ji and her ‘ada’.

And here's how the final song turned out:

While the year 2020 has been extremely difficult for the entire world, it has been exceptionally rough for the Hindi film industry. After the very talented Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan breathed their last in April, actor Sushant Singh Rajput bid the world a final adieu in June and today we lost one of the most iconic choreographers of Indian cinema. We truly pray that they find peace.
