Rishi Kapoor Passes At 67 In Mumbai

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor passed away today at a Mumbai hospital. The actor was admitted to H N Reliance hospital by his family on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathing difficulty. He left for his heavenly abode today morning. Amitabh Bachchan, who had shared the screen with him in many films tweeted the news.

Taking to the social media platform, Bachchan wrote, “T 3517 - He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”

Late last night, Rishi Kapoor's brother, Randhir Kapoor had told PTI, "He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now."  Rishi Kapoor was diagnosed with cancer and underwent bone marrow treatment in the US. He became cancer free last year and had returned to Mumbai in September. He had been admitted to a hospital in Delhi after he had breathing trouble but he recovered and told fans that it was only because of the high pollution level of the Capital.

This comes as a shocker especially because Bollywood had still been reeling over the death of actor Irrfan Khan who passed away yesterday after fighting colon infection. We hope his family gets the strength to deal with the loss. Rest in peace Rishi Kapoor.
