Rishi Kapoor Wanted To See Ranbir Kapoor Getting Married Said, 'Want To Spend Time With My Grandchildren Before I Am Gone'

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor who was ailing from cancer for over a year passed away in Mumbai today at the age of 67. The actor had spent 11 months in New York after his diagnosis in 2018 and recently was admitted to the hospital after he complained of breathing difficulty.

The Bobby actor had time and again thanked fans for their prayers and good wishes as he was recuperating from the disease and had also expressed his desire to see son Ranbir Kapoor getting married in an interview with Mid-Day back in 2018 and said it’s ‘high time’ and he wants to spend time with his grand kids before he’s gone.

Rishi had told Mid-Day, I want to spend time with my grandchildren before I am gone. “It is high time he got married. I settled down when I was 27, Ranbir is 35. So he should think about marriage. He can marry anyone of his choice; we don’t have any objection to it. I want to spend time with my grandchildren before I am gone,” he had said.

The reports went viral especially given that Ranbir had Alia Bhatt in his life and the reports were already speculating their wedding.
