After a 2 year battle with leukemia, superstar Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on 30th April at H. N. Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. The film industry was left with a huge void and the entire nation was heartbroken. He was cremated at Chandanwadi crematorium later in the afternoon and celebs such as Alia Bhatt, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor among others attended the funeral to support Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Singh. Rishi’s daughter Riddhima, however, had to connect to the family via video call.

As Riddhima got a movement pass to travel from Delhi to Mumbai by road, she had to miss the last rites. However, Alia had her on video call throughout the funeral. As of last night, Riddhima arrived in Mumbai with her daughter Samara to join her brother Ranbir and mother Neetu. They were clicked in the city with police officers around and had covered their faces with masks.

Riddhima was heartbroken about not being able to attend her father’s last rites and took to her social media handle to pay him a tribute. Along with an old picture featuring the actor, she wrote, “I wish I could be there to say goodbye to you! Until we meet again papa I love you -- your Mushk forever.”
