Rishi Kapoor’s Funeral To Be Held At Chandanwadi Crematorium, Daughter Riddhima Kapoor Would Not Be Able To Attend

Rishi Kapoor has left for his heavenly abode today. The veteran actor breathed his last at 8:45am today in Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital. His family has said that he was jovial even during the last few hours. His family is now preparing for his last rites.

Rishi Kapoor’s funeral will take place at Chandanwadi Crematorium in Kalbadevi, Mumbai. It will take place in the afternoon today. Rishi Kapoor’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, would not be able to attend her father’s last rites since she is in Delhi and would not be able to travel to Mumbai due to the nationwide lockdown because of coronavirus scare. Alia Bhatt might be present during the funeral. She had rushed to the hospital some hours back after the news of Rishi Kapoor’s death came out.

His family, in their official statement, had appealed to fans and well-wishers to follow the rules and regulations. The statement read, “There are numerous restrictions around movement and gathering in public. We would like to request all his fans and well-wishers and friends of the family to please respect the laws that are in force. He would not have it any other way.”
