Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani: Dharmendra to romance Jaya Bachchan in Karan Johar’s directorial?

After teasing fans with a video of his journey in the Hindi film industry as a filmmaker, Karan Johar announced that he will be returning to the director’s seat for his next project. A day later he announced his light hearted romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which will feature Gully Boy stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead. What’s even more exciting is that veteran superstars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi have been roped in to play Ranveer and Alia’s on-screen family members.

Dharmendra also took to his official handle yesterday to share the poster and revealed that he will be seen in a romantic role in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Well, a report shared by Bollywood Hungama has now reported that the superstar will romance opposite Jaya Bachchan in the film. While they have shared the screen before in super hits such as Sholay and Chupke Chupke, this will be an exciting new dynamic for them.

The report further stated that Dharmendra will begin shooting for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in August. Currently, the superstar is at his farmhouse, where he spent almost all his time during the initial lockdown.
