Buzz suggested that the veteran actress will be playing the character of Ranveer’s on-screen grandmother, who is scheming, manipulative and evil! However, the latest report shared by Bollywood Hungama has now stated something else. According to this report, Jaya ji will be seen in a comic role. A source close to the production was quoted saying, “Jayaji plays a halwai (mithai maker). She plays a loud earthy outspoken woman who loves a good laugh, at her own expense or at the expense of others. It is her most fun-filled role to date.”

The source went on to add, “She loves Karan Johar for giving her a role that didn’t require her to be serious all the time. She is enjoying just letting down her hair.” That’s not all! The report further revealed that Jaya keeps joking about how KJo could not get comedian and actor Johnny Lever’s dates, so he signed her.

Well, we can’t wait to see Jaya Bachchan as a halwai when the film hits theatres on 10th February, 2023.
