Talking to Pinkvilla, Rohit spoke about Sooryavanshi’s delay of over a year and said, “There is a lot of money involved to hold the film for so long. When the pandemic started, we thought it would be over in six to seven months, but now, no one knows what’s going to happen.”

Sooryavanshi was supposed to hit theatres in March 2020 and even had a grand trailer launch before the theatres were shut down due to the pandemic. The makers are determined to give the movie a theatrical release. “It’s difficult to hold because at the end of day, even I am a producer, who is running a company. At one point of time, we were all like till when will we wait. But my team was ready to hold onto it,” Rohit further told the portal.
