Roohi: Janhvi Kapoor Shares Why It’s Necessary To Go Out And Promote The Film; Says ‘COVID Isn’t Going Anywhere’

Last year was incredibly tough for all of us, thanks to the coronavirus pandemic. However, things are finally starting to look up now, especially for the Hindi film industry. Theatres are now allowed to have 100% occupancy and many filmmakers are jumping at the opportunity to release their much awaited projects. Actors have also resumed face-to-face promotions after months of doing it virtually. Roohi actors Janhvi Kapoor, Varun Sharma and Rajkummar Rao are some of the Bollywood stars who have been travelling quite a lot for promotions in the last few days.

In a recent chat with Spotboye, Janhvi opened up about the same and shared, “It’s fun to go out and meet people to promote a film. I haven’t done this since my first film Dhadak. My second film Gunjan Saxena was promoted virtually.” Explaining why it’s a necessity, she stated, “We are asking people to come to the theatre to see Roohi. If we ask them to do so while sitting at home, why would they listen to our request? Covid is not going away anywhere. We have to continue with our lives while taking all necessary precautions.”

While Janhvi has already wowed the audience with three amazing films, Roohi marks her second theatrical release as Ghost Stories and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl premiered on streaming giant Netflix. Well, we are quite excited about seeing her shine again on the big screen in the horror comedy on 11 March.
