Saif Ali Khan Gives Credit To Ex-Wife Amrita Singh For His Career In Bollywood

Despite a few hits and misses, Saif Ali Khan is one of the most loved actors in Bollywood who is constantly re-inventing himself. Yes, not all his experiments are successful, but he has his own cinematic sensebilities that is refreshingly different from his peers, not to mention the stellar performances he comes up with.

Recently, while talking about his more than two decades long career Saif shared the credit of his success with ex-wife Amrita Singh. Saif said, “I also ran away from home, and got married at 20. And I’ve to give Amrita , my ex-wife, credit for being the only person who taught me to take it all seriously. She said you can’t hit the target while laughing at it. That’s when Parampara happened.”

Not just that, Saif also shared how he was asking for advices when he was supposed to play the character of Sameer in Dil Chahta Hai and even Aamir Khan was giving some tips about how to approach the character. However, it was Amrita who said that he should stop asking people for advice and just do his own. Well, we all know how that turned out given Sameer from Dil Chahta Hai is not only one of the most iconic roles in Saif’s career but also one of the most loved characters of Hindi cinema.
