Saif Ali Khan Likely To Get Into The Villainous Mode Again For Adipurush, To Go Head To Head With Prabhas

Saif Ali Khan garnered a lot of acclaim for his negative role as Udaybhan Singh Rathore earlier this year in Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Well impressed with his performance Tahanji director Om Raut has reportedly once again signed the actor to play the villain, this time in his magnum opus Aadipurush headlined by Prabhas.

According to a Bollywood Hungama source, “Yes, Saif will feature in Adipurush. In fact, after seeing Saif’s performance in Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior, Om was rather keen on casting him again.” The mythological drama is another pan Indian film for Prabhas and will be the first for Saif, the recently revealed motion poster of the film already promises a battle between good and evil.

“Obviously Saif would come on board only if his part was a good one, and apparently Raut has roped him in to play the villain. Now given that the film is an adaptation of the fight between good and evil, it is likely that Saif will be almost a parallel lead opposite Prabhas in Adipurush,” added the source.

While Saif has still reserved his assent, it will be interesting to see Parbhas and Saif going head to head in this larger than life 3D drama.

Talking about Adipurush in a statement Prabhas said, “Every role and every character comes with its own challenges, but portraying a character like this comes with tremendous responsibility and pride. I am very excited to portray this character from our epic specially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love on our film.”

Adipurush is likely to go on floors in early 2021.
