Saif Ali Khan On Taimur’s Popularity: ‘This Star Kid Is A Tag That Just Falls On You, Whether You Like It Or Not’

Royal couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s adorable son Taimur is undoubtedly one of the most adored and popular star kids of Bollywood. Fans find him really cute and his pictures are generally the talk of the town. In fact, now that Bebo is finally on social media, her followers eagerly wait for her to upload pictures with her son. Well, recently in a virtual interview with Neha Dhupia on her show #NoFilterNeha Season 5, Saif opened up about all the attention that Taimur gets. The actor also expressed his concerns about the growing popularity of his little boy.

Saif shared, “Ya, I think he’s realised that there will be cameras in certain places. He has never enjoyed being photographed particularly, even by us at home. But he understands, I mean, he smiles and waves and he likes camera flashes but it’s just something he’s always seen so he doesn’t think about it.” The actor also admitted that it makes him a little tense as there’s too much attention on his little one. He explained, “It’s sad, you know, people don’t let you be like a normal kid in Bombay. This star kid is a tag that just falls on you, whether you like it or not and in fact, the answer is you don’t want it but what can you do.”

However, the actor understands the photographers’ job and does not want to stop them from getting their ‘rozi-roti’. He also feels that if you resist it, hide from them or run around with a hat pulled low, it becomes a situation. But when you just smile, give them a picture and move on, it’s simpler. Saif concluded, “So, the important thing is to tell Taimur – you must be polite and it’s no big deal and I think he’s learnt that.”

Saif and Kareena recently announced that they are expecting baby number 2. The actress is reportedly due in March 2021.
