Sajid Khan Says He Still Drops Texts And Calls His Late Brother Wajid Khan: 'Even If He Is Not Seen, He Is There'

Wajid Khan the singer and music composer of the musical duo Sajid-Wajid passed away tragically on June 1, 2020. His elder brother Sajid Khan has now spoken up about losing his 42-year-old brother too suddenly to a cardiac arrest and how he is coping with this monumental loss.

Talking to Zoom about Wajid, Sajid said that he still talks to his brother even if the way they communicate has changed. He also stated that he drops texts to Wajid and sometimes even calls him on his number.

The composer while speaking of his latest track Jeet Jayenge Hum said, "The place where I sit in my house there is a picture of him and me on the wall, so I go there and speak to him, I still WhatsApp Wajid. I sent this (Jeet Jayenge Hum) song to him on WhatsApp. I am still talking to him. I want to keep it like that where I am talking to him on the phone. Sometimes, I call and message him and say that this is when our song is releasing. I sent this song Jeet Jayenge Hum first to Wajid only. I don't want to get in that zone. I want to be in that zone where even if he is not seen, he is there, we are talking.”

Sajid also said that initially he was haunted by his late brother’s memory but not anymore. He said that he always feels his brother is around and sometimes even talks to an empty chair opposite him feeling his presence.
