Sajid Khan wanted to cast Sidharth Shukla in Mast Barsat, reveals how Salman Yusuff Khan got on board

Sajid Khan, who has now changed his name to Sajid-Wajid to keep his late brother immortalised with his identity, had brought out a new song just a few days back. It was even more special since it came out on Wajid Khan's birthday. Yes, we are talking about Mast Barsat. The song features Salman Yusuff Khan and Soundarya Sharma. Now, Sajid has revealed that he had originally thought of casting Sidharth Shukla in this one.

Talking to Mid Day, he revealed, "Initially, I wanted Sidharth (Shukla) in the song but unfortunately he’s no more." Revealing how Salman Yusuff Khan got on board, he said, "Salman is very dear to me and a younger brother to me. Taleem music is his house, so he gets whatever he wants. I made Salman hear the song though he had a busy schedule he said, "Bhai I would love to do this, let me handle it." I said, "It’s yours brother.""

Talking about his upcoming song for Salman Khan and Ayush Sharma starrer Antim, Sajid Khan said, "My next song is ‘Bhai Ka Birthday’ for the film Antim. That is a big song that I’ve sung though it’s a different music composer. When we were two brothers, together we could take a lot of load, so now I’m only focusing on working with people I share a good relationship with, like Sajid Nadiadwala, Salman bhai, Raaj Shaandilyaa."
