Sajid Nadiadwala’s Wife, Warda On Divya Bharti: Our Children Still Call Her ‘Badi Mummy’

Divya Bharti had been one of the most promising stars that Bollywood had seen. Often compared to Sridevi for how she looked, she was not just doing well professionally but also personally. She met the love of her life, producer Sajid Nadiadwala, and soon got married to him. But tragedy soon befell and she was found dead under mysterious circumstances one day. Sajid Nadiadwala dealt with the grief, as did her fans. He then decided to move on and tied the knot to Warda Khan. Now, during an interview, Warda opened up about Divya Bharti and how she is stumped with questions on how she took her place quite often even now.

Talking to Bollywood Hungama, Warda said that she had never tried to take Divya’s place and she is still very much a part of the family. In fact, her children watch Divya’s films and refer her as Badi Mummy. She said, “Divya is still very much a part of our lives. Her family, her dad, her brother Kunal, they are like our family, they are a part of each celebration. So when you guys try to troll me, please know that I am not getting trolled. On her anniversaries and birthdays, we speak to each other. When my children watch her movies, they call her 'Badi Mummy'. So, guys, she is still a very, very beautiful part of our lives.”

She also spoke on how people troll her and asked them to stop doing it. She added, “I have not tried to replace her ever. I have made my own place. Memories are always beautiful. So, stop trolling me! She is a part of my life, and we are enjoying. Sometimes people say, 'Divya Bharti bohot acchi thi. Of course, bahot acchi thi yaar. We love her.” 

Well, the mystery behind Divya’s death still remains unsolved and she continues to live in our hearts through her work.
