    Salman Khan’s recent Eid release Bharat has been an instant fan favorite and is getting a thunderous response at the box office too. The actor who couldn’t be more thankful to his fans for appreciating the film also was attended a screening of Bharat with co-star Katrina Kaif for the civilian families that survived India’s partition in 1947.

    The film traces the journey of a man with the nation in post-partition India. The film shows Slamn Khan (Bharat) to have separated from his sister and father during the partition. The screening was organized by 1947 Partition Archive organization, with seven families that had returned to India post-partition and reunited with their family over time.

    Salman Khan shared a picture from the special screening and wrote, "Special screening of 'Bharat' for the real families who experienced the events of 1947 and the partition. Honored to meet all of them! Salute to the real Bharat families.”

    The film has so far earned 174.35 crores at the box office since its release on June 5 and is inching closer to the 200 crore club. The film also stars Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover and has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar who previously worked with Salman on films like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai.
