Salman Khan Made Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya With Sushmita Sen Because She Was A Fan Of Maine Pyar Kiya

The gorgeous Sushmita Sen and the very handsome Salman Khan make a wonderful pair together. They are both exceptionally talented actors and have managed to create magic each time they shared the big screen. One such film through which Sushmita and Salman won our hearts was Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. Their sizzling on-screen chemistry and impeccable comic timing was the highlight of the film and the track Laga Laga Re, in particular, left us in awe.

Well, in a recent chat with Bollywood Hungama, Sushmita revealed why Salman decided to make the super hit film with her. She shared, “I have to tell you, before Biwi No 1 I had never met Salman and I was a huge fan and I had spent all my pocket money to buy posters of Maine Pyar Kiya. When Biwi No 1 was offered, I finally met him in America and Salman walked in and it took me little time to fathom that there he was and I was going to act opposite him. I told him about this story and he told me that since you loved Maine Pyar Kiya, I am going to make Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya with you and he did.”

Also featuring Katrina Kaif and Sohail Khan, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya was based on the 1969 movie Cactus Flower. Directed by David Dhawan, the romantic comedy followed the life of a womanizing doctor who ultimately gets stuck between two gorgeous women.
