Salman Khan to announce Hindi remake of Thalapathy Vijay’s Master and another action thriller soon

Just yesterday it was reported that Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan has bought the rights of Telugu film Khiladi. Starring Ravi Teja in a double role, the action crime thriller film has been written and directed by Ramesh Varma, who may also helm the Hindi version. Well, according to latest reports, Salman has now bagged the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master, which features South superstars Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. Bhaijaan will reportedly announce the project soon.

In a report shared by Mid Day, a source revealed, “The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed venture was shown to Salman earlier this year before the junta curfew was imposed. It revolves around alcoholic professor JD, portrayed by Vijay, who takes up a teaching job at a juvenile home. Salman was excited about the movie and agreed to do it in principle. But things did not progress swiftly due to the lockdown. Now, the producers will meet him again to discuss the minor tweaks in the script, the possible dates for the shoot and the director.” The source went on to share that Salman is also in talks for another action thriller with a leading studio.

The report further reveals that Salman, who is currently in Panvel, will head to Goa with his family by this month’s end for a vacation and will announce his list of releases after returning home. The source added, “Meanwhile, the producers of the Master remake are scouting for an A-list star who can reprise Vijay Sethupathi’s role and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Salman.”

Other than these two action thrillers, Salman has many other exciting projects in the pipeline including Antim: The Final Truth with Aayush Sharma, Tiger 3 opposite Katrina Kaif, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali which is now being called Bhaijaan, Sooraj Barjatya’s next and a special cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan.
