Salman Khan and his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma seem to be in preparation for an intense crime drama as they come together for filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar’s Antim: The Final Truth. The film which will the official remake of the Marathi hit Mulshi Pattern will see Salman in a never seen before avatar of a Sikh cop while Aayush will be the leading man in the film playing a Marathi gangster according to recent reports.

The superstar who will have more of a supporting role in the project is said to be prepping for the role, beefing up and growing his beard. While the roles might remind fans of Sacred Games, according to a Bollywood Hungama source, “It’s more like Salman’s version of a Sikh Cop and a Marathi Gangster minus the abuses and vulgar scenes of Sacred Games. He is attempting to make an intense gangster film this time around and trying to play a rather mature character that blends well with his age. However, his cop is more of a supporting character as the entire story revolves around brother in law, Aayush Sharma’s gangster.”

While Salman whose larger than life persona often proves to be the highlight of any project has certainly surprised us if he’s actually going through with playing a supporting role instead of being the leading man. According to the report, the superstar has nearly half of Aayush’s screen time in the film. Salman will reportedly join the shoot for the film in the first week of December while Aayush has already begun shoot in Pune over the weekend.
