Salman Khan's Father Salim Khan Feels Actor's Radhe Is 'Not A Great Film At All', Blames Poor Writing For The Outcome

Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan shares the public opinion that the actor’s recently released Eid offering, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai is not a great watch. The Prabhudeva directed film opened earlier this month to average reviews and an incredibly low IMDb score that rivals Salman’s previous two box office duds Tubelight and Race 3.

Radhe released in theatres as well was on OTT on a pay-per-view basis simultaneously. The movie might not have pleased Salman’s father and the renowned writer but Salim Khan sees merit in other aspects of the film.

While discussing Radhe’s performance during an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Salim Khan said in Hindi, "The film prior to this Dabangg 3 was different. Bajrangi Bhaijaan was good and totally different. Radhe is not a great film at all, but commercial cinema has a responsibility that every person can get money. From artists to producers, distributors, exhibitors and every stakeholder should get the money. The one who buys the cinema must get the money. Due to this, the cycle of cinema making and business goes on. On this basis, Salman has performed. Stakeholders of this film are in advantage. Otherwise, Radhe is not that great a film."

The Sholay writer also expressed concern about the lack of good writers in Bollywood these days and said that instead of research and reading text in Hindi and Urdu, writers tend to Indianise things they have seen in the West. He also questioned what his son and superstar Salman can do when the industry lacks good writers. Radhe is a remake of the Korean film The Outlaws.
