Blackbuck Case Hearing In June Now

Salman Khan’s Hearing On The Blackbuck Case Deferred Till June Amidst Coronavirus Lockdown

The soul of the Blackbuck that Salman Khan has accused of hunting seems to be haunting the actor even after almost two decades. Salman Khan had been summoned to the Jodhpur Court for years now for the hearing of this case and he had to even spend a night inside the jail for this. One hearing was pending for today, but due to the ongoing lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, it seems like the date of hearing has been deferred till June 4th.

Salman has been continuously absent from most of the hearings. He was absent during the January hearing and when the date was kept to 7th March, he gave it a miss to. However, his legal representative was present and he presented an attendance apology. The next date of hearing was then kept on 18th April.

Salman Khan had been convicted of the crime on March 5th 2019 and was sentenced to five years in jail. The others accused had been acquitted. Salman Khan’s representatives challenged the verdict and had moved to the Jodhpur High Court. The next hearing was to happen today but has now been postponed. We wonder if Salman Khan will be present during the June hearing and what the court would decide on that day!
