Salman Khan's Radhe All Set For Eid 2020 - Here Are All The Details You Need To Know About The Film

If Salman Khan’s cop avatar as Chulbul Pandey wasn’t enough, the actor is bringing back another ‘baap’ of all cop films on Eid 2020 and once again with Prabhudeva donning the director’s hat. Ever since the Bollywood superstar revealed that he won’t be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah and will release some other film on Eid 2020 instead the fans have been curious about this mega project. Salman finally locked in on Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai.

We have put together all the details about the film that are known so far, take a look –

Radhe not a remake of Wanted – After the film was announced reports flooded the internet speculating that Radhe is a sequel to his 2008 blockbuster Wanted. Salman Khan’s name in the film was Radhe much like another film Tere Naam. The tag line of the film ‘Your Most Wanted Bhai’ sure helped the rumours. But at the trailer launch of his film Dabangg 3 Salman Khan clarified Radhe is an independent film and is not a sequel. On comparisons with Wanted the actor said, it would be the ‘baap’ of Wanted.

It is Salman Khan’s third collaboration with Prabhu Deva – Salman Khan reunited with Prabhu Deva for Dabangg 3 after a decade of Wanted and quickly signed him to direct his Eid release Radhe too. Incidentally in all of their three films together Salman plays a cop.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah was shelved to make way for Radhe on Eid 2020 – Salman khan startled one and all after he tweeted out that he wanted to not release Inshallah but another film on Eid 2020. With still no clarity on what film it would be, SLB was quick to shelve Inshallah which had Alia Bhatt and Salman in the lead and the superstar ultimately backed out the film saying that the movie will be made but without him.

Radhe story – Many reports have been speculating that Radhe will have Slaman Khan playing a cop assigned with the task of whipping out the underworld gang wars. As for his character, Salman described his Radhe avatar as ‘half good fully mad.’

The female lead- So far rumors claim that Salman Khan’s Bharat co-star Disha Patani will once again reunite with him for Radhe. While these are just reports and nothing has been confirmed yet, we hope that turns out to be true.

Release Date – Eid falls on 22 May, 2020 which also happens to be a Friday and the perfect opportunity to release a film for Salman Khan. His film Radhe which all set for a release then will be facing a major clash with Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb. Akshay had seized the opportunity to re-work the release date of his film once Inshallah was shelved.

Cop dramas have become a success formula in Bollywood that no one can get enough of, especially after films like Dabangg, Singham and Simmba. After Dabangg 3 and Mardaani 2 in December 2019, in 2020 too we have two big-budget cop dramas releasing in the first half, Radhe being one of them, the other being Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi. Besides these films, Rohit Shetty is planning to expand his cop universe with his next film on a female cop.
