Salman Khan’s Radhe To Clash With Akshay Kumar Starrer Sooryavanshi On Diwali This Year?

Due to the coronavirus lockdown, theatres all over the world were shut down and release dates of many upcoming films were postponed indefinitely. While some filmmakers opted for direct OTT release amid the lockdown, others decided to wait for the situation to come under control. Well much to our delight, theatre chain INOX recently confirmed that Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer cop drama Sooryavanshi will be hitting theatres on Diwali this year, while Ranveer Singh’s sports drama ‘83 will release on Christmas.

Well, according to the latest report in Mid-Day, Salman Khan is also eyeing the festival of Diwali for the release of his action film titled Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. A trade source was quoted saying, “The post-production of Radhe is underway with Ajay Devgn's NY VFXWaala handling the film's special effects. He (Salman) is eager to return to the set and film the pending portions, which includes a song. Once he has wrapped up the shoot, the superstar will begin work on Guns of North and Farhad Samji's Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Salman thinks Diwali will be the perfect window for Radhe as Christmas is too far.”

Also featuring Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, Jackie Shroff and Gautam Gulati, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai has been directed by filmmaker and choreographer Prabhu Deva. A standalone sequel to the 2009 film Wanted, it was initially slated to release on 22^nd May this year, but was postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
