Sanak: Vidyut Jammwal To Reprise The Role Of Denzel Washington, Film To Be A Remake Of John Q?

It was just yesterday, i.e., on Republic Day, that Vidyut Jammwal announced his next. Titled Sanak: Hope Under Seige, it would mark Vidyut's collaboration with Vipul Shah for the fifth time and the debut of Bengali actress Rukmini Maitra. Now, we have learnt that the film would be the remake of a popular Hollywood action film.

If a report in Peepingmoon is to be believed, then the film would be the remake of John Q. A source told the portal, "Sanak is an action-thriller revolving around a lone hero who fights overwhelming odds in a restricted environment. It's the official remake of Denzel Washington's critically-acclaimed 2002 Hollywood film John Q. The film has already gone on floors in Mumbai and will be completed by mid-March to hit cinemas in the second half of this year." Yes, it would show the story of a father going to great heights to save his son.

So Vidyut would be essaying the role of the father while Rukmini will play the mother. The film would also star Chandan Roy Sanyal and Amol Gupte. It would be helmed by Kanishk Verma. Apart from Sanak, Vidyut would be seen in Khuda Hafiz 2. Are you excited about this one?
