Sanjay Dutt Saddened By Negativity Around Sadak 2 Trailer, Will Complete Dubbing For The Film Before Medical Break

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s likely to leave for the U.S. soon to begin treatment after being diagnosed with lung cancer post the recent health scare that landed him in the hospital last week. The 61-year-old actor has quite a few projects in his pipeline which will have to wait for the actor’s return to complete.

Sanjay declared on August 11 post his discharge from the Lilavati hospital that he will be taking a break from movies for medical reasons and now if recent reports are anything to go by, the actor has decided to completing his dubbing for his upcoming film Sadak 2.

The movie is a sequel to the actor’s 1991 blockbuster Sadak and is due for an OTT release at the end of the month. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bedi and Aditya Roy Kapur.

IANS quoted a source close to the film’s production saying, “Sanjay will complete the last leg of dubbing for his film Sadak 2 by next week, before going on a medical break. He is overwhelmed with the outpouring of love coming his way ever since the news of his illness came out. This support is motivating him, even more, to give his fans his best through his work.”

Sadak 2 has been targeted heavily on social media since the trailer of the film released with anguished fans of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput determined to make it the most disliked video on YouTube because of nepotism.

The source also told the agency that the matter has upset Sanjay Dutt. “He is very saddened by the negativity that the trailer of the film has received as ‘Sadak’ holds a special place in his heart. It is a heartfelt emotion for him, not just a movie. He is hoping that people will rise above the trolling and hate, and look at the movie for its story and performances,” added the source.
