Sanjay Leela Bhansali Offers Alia Bhatt A Role In Heera Mandi After Gangubai Kathiawadi? Here’s What We Know

Almost a week after Alia Bhatt shared the much awaited teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi, it was reported that the leftover filming of the project has come to a halt as director Sanjay Leela Bhansali tested positive for coronavirus. While Alia tested negative, she went under quarantine too. Well, just today morning it was reported that the actress and the filmmaker are expected to resume shooting by the end of this month. That’s not all! They may reunite soon for another project.

According to the latest report shared by Bollywood Hungama, Bhansali has offered Alia the role of one of the 10-12 female protagonists in his upcoming web-series Heera Mandi. A source was quoted saying, “Each of the female protagonists will have a well-defined long-running role with room for the character’s growth. Alia is going to be one of them.” The report further suggests that Alia has agreed to be a part of the series, which would mean a hat-trick for Bhansali and the actress.

Other than these two exciting projects, Alia will also be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmāstra with Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan. She is also portraying the role of Sita in SS Rajamouli’s period action drama film RRR, co-starring N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan and Ajay Devgn.
