    Kangana Ranaut has irked Rajaya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut for good measure. The politician in the party’s mouthpiece Saamana expressed his displeasure at Bollywood for not defending Mumbai’s honour in a column called ‘Rokhthok’ on Sunday.

    Raut target actor Akshay Kumar in particular for not opposing Kangana Ranaut when she compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He questions the silence of actors who earned fame and made their career in Mumbai and wrote, ‘Is Mumbai only for making money?’

    He went so far as to compare Bollywood to Pandavas who quietly watched Draupadi’s ‘cheerharan’. He expressed his displeasure at Kangana referring to Maharashtra Chef Minister ‘Udhav Thackrey’ as ‘Tu’ in her tweets and said it was an insult the even Marathi speaking politicians did not oppose her comments.

    Sanjay Raut says at least half of Bollywood should have defended Mumbai opposing Kangana and expressing that her claims were not views shared by the industry.

    Kangana’s tussle with the state began after Sanjay Raut told Kangana not to return to the city and in response, Kangana questioned if Mumbai had become like Pok. The actress also said that she felt unsafe in the city and in another tweet called Mumbai Taliban.

    Her comments were strongly condemned leading Sanjay Raut to even abuse her on national TV. Kangana after receiving various threats announced her decision to return to Mumbai on September 9 and was backed by the central Home Ministry providing her Y plus security.
