Sanju Becomes The Highest Opening Weekend Grossing Bollywood Film Of All Time With 120 Crores

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju has turned out to be a monstrous hit at the box-office. The buzz surrounding Sanju was earth-shattering and the advance bookings and the overall outlook for the film showed a positive trend as well. The audiences' curiosity hit the peak the moment first character posters and the teaser of Sanju was released.

The film promised a whirlwind ride to the viewers just like Sanjay Dutt has lived his real life. The makers repeatedly told everyone that the film won't attempt to glorify Sanjay Dutt and will tell an honest story. The film also co-starred Paresh Rawal, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Vicky Kaushal, Sonam Kapoor and Jim Sarbh in prominent roles. 

The film opened to a historic opening day with collections of 34.75 Crores and became the highest opening day grosser of 2018 beating Salman Khan's Race which had collected 29 Crores. 

On its second day, Sanju earned 38.60 Crores and with collections of a whopping 46.71 Crores on its third day, Sanju now stands at 120.06 Crores. It is now the biggest weekend opener of 2018 and also the highest 3 day weekend (extended not included) earner of all time.

Sanju has also collected the highest single day gross for a Bollywood film (46.71 Crores) and has beaten Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai (45.53 Crores).
