Sanya Malhotra Says She Worked On Ludo Without A Script, Asked Anurag Basu For One But He Simply Laughed It Out

After the intriguing trailer of Ludo everyone is looking for to this ensemble venture from Anurag Basu. The film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Maaney, Pankaj Tripathi, Asha Negi, Shalini Vats and Inayat Verma has as many fun backstories as characters.

Sanya Malhotra for one has revealed how exciting it was for her to work with filmmaker Anurag Basu and how she worked on Ludo without an actual script. Talking to India Forums the actress said, “I was approached by him [Anurag Basu] almost 2 years back for this film and the character, where he explained the gist of the story to me. When I asked him about the script, he simply laughed it out. He said lets go on set and decide. We did a meeting before the shoot. Dada explained to me what is going to happen in the script, what is my character and again in a gist.”

The actress admitted that she always religiously reads her script before shoot but here she didn’t have any which left her clueless when she actually arrived on set. “For the first time, I couldn't believe that I have to work without the script. Before my first day on set, I had no idea what was supposed to be shot, and how to go about with it. I was honestly quite relaxed, which is different from the usual me. I just got ready with costumes sent to me, and went on the set as a blank slate,” Sanya said.

The actress who has aced all her roles in the past with her versatility and finesse ended up loving the experience and found it to be a fun and collaborative experience. Sanya has been paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapur in the movie.
