Sara Ali Khan Plans To Ring In New Years' With Rumored Beau Kartik Aaryan, But Mom Amrita Singh Not Too Pleased

Ever since Sara Ali Khan mentioned she wants to date Kartik Aaryan on Koffee With Karan it seems the universe has been plotting to bring them together. First, they were introduced by Ranveer Singh at an event and the video of the meeting went viral and then the two of them signed Imtiaz Ali’s Aaj Kal. Rumoured to be dating, Kartik and Sara did spend a lot of time together off the sets of the movie and were instant fan favorites as a couple.

Break up rumours sure dampened the joy a bit but now reports state that the duo is planning to ring in the year 2020 together. Rumours traveled far and wide that Kartik and Sara who are relatively new to Bollywood want to make their careers their first priority and have no time for romance and thus have decided to quit seeing each other. It was even said that Kartik wants to be known more than just Sara’s boyfriend.

Now, if the latest reports are anything to go by all news of their break up seem like just rumours indeed as the two of them are making New Years’ plans together.

Sara’s mother Amrita Singh, however, seems to be upset with Sara’s relationship with Kartik. A report in Bollywood Hungama claims that the actress wants her daughter to focus on her career and feels the relationship is distracting. “Amrita feels now is the time for her daughter to consolidate her career and not get distracted by matters of the heart. Sara, on the other hand, is way too spontaneous to make calculated career decisions. She thinks with her heart. And her heart tells her it’s okay to mix work with a personal life,” the reported a source claiming.

Saif Ali Khan, on the other hand, is rather supportive of Sara’s decision to date Kartik and in an earlier interview said, “I'm sure he's (Kartik) a lovely guy because you know I have full trust in her values and what kind of things she would be drawn to. So, you know, if she likes him, then he must be nice.”

Only the coming New Years’ will we know how much truth these reports hold, but it is indeed true then we couldn’t be more excited for them.
