Sara Ali Khan talks about working with Aanand L Rai in Atrangi Re; Calls it her most exciting project after Kedarnath

When Sara Ali Khan made her debut in Bollywood with Kedarnath, she left fans in awe with her raw talent and charming smile. Right then we knew a star was in the making. Well, the actress is now looking forward to her next release Atrangi Re. Helmed by Aanand L Rai, the film also stars Akshay Kumar and Dhanush and features Sara in a double role for the very first time. The behind the scene snaps from the sets have left fans quite excited for the romantic drama, which is expected to hit theatres in August this year.

In a recent chat with Mid Day, Sara opened up about working with Aanand. The actress shared that the filmmaker is the most compassionate and loving human being that she has ever come across. She was quoted saying, “On his sets, it is his emotions, purity and vulnerability that drive him. He tries to extract that from his performers as well. I’m not a trained actor, so I go by my conviction and the director’s vision. It’s important for me to be guided because I can go off-track. It’s important for a director to tell me, ‘Sara, yeh zyada ho gaya, thoda kam karo.’ He has done that beautifully for me.”

Well, not just fans but even Sara is quite thrilled about the film. She shared, “After 'Kedarnath' [2018], which was my first film, 'Atrangi Re' has been the most exciting project for me in terms of performance.” The fact that the actress feels so herself has definitely left us with higher expectations from Atrangi Re.
