Sardar Ka Grandson Trailer: Arjun Kapoor Starrer 'Home Is Coming' Tale Makes Him Eligible For Grandson Of The Year

How far would you go to fulfill the wishes of your loved ones? Arjun Kapoor’s recently released Sardar Ka Grandson trailer has a bizarre way of answering that question. Set out to fulfill his grandmother’s wish of seeing her house in Lahore, an Amritsar man vouches to go to impossible ends.

What looks like a wholesome family entertainer, Sardaar and Grandson looks a bit outlandish from the trailer when we see Arjun who plays Neena Gupta’s grandson vouch to bring her Lahore home to her when he is refused by the Pakistan High Commission to take his grandmother there.

Frankly, taking a person to Pakistan seems more probable than bringing a house back from there to India, but let’s just roll with it. The Netflix film is an emotional tale of family, love and the Indo-Pak divide wedged in. With some flashbacks showing  Aditi Rao Hyadri and John Abraham in a cameo to showcase Neena Gupta’s decades-old love story which gives off some Love Aaj Kal vibes.

Arjun and Rakul Preet Singh’s romance looks like a small part of a big complex plot where ‘home coming’ gets a new meaning. The primary focus is on Neena and Arjun’s dynamic and his promise to her and what remains to be seen in the film is whether he is able to keep his word.

Sardar Ka Grandson releases Netflix on May 18. It also stars Soni Razdan, Kumud Mishra, Kanwaljit Singh, Divya Seth among others.
