One of the most adored and sought-after choreographers of Indian cinema, Saroj Khan bid the world a final adieu in July this year. She was admitted to a Mumbai hospital in June as she was suffering from breathing difficulties. A few weeks later she passed away due to a cardiac arrest. The last song that Master ji choreographed was her favorite dancer and actress Madhuri Dixit’s Tabah Ho Gaye, for the 2019 film Kalank. She was assisted by popular choreographer Remo D'Souza.
In a recent chat with Mid Day, Remo revealed that he wishes to make a film based on Master ji’s life. He revealed, “We had a long conversation and she said, ‘If someone were to make by biopic, you do it because you know the struggle as well as dance’.” Remembering what she always told him about the industry, Remo shared, “In our industry, you either make relations from the heart, or you just do not build them, because here people only mingle for their interest. There is a sense of 'being indifferent' here, so no one is a friend or enemy.”

Remo went on to add, “If you are talented, you are appreciated. That is it. She would always say, ‘if you bond with someone do it with all heart, otherwise don't do it. Bonds forged of success and failuire don't last for life, but the ones born of the heart have nothing to do with success-failure’.”
Which actress do you think should be cast in Saroj Khan’s biopic if it is ever made?
