    Bollywood’s beloved Master ji, Saroj Khan was admitted to the Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai a few weeks ago as she was having difficulty in breathing. It was reported that she had tested negative for COVID-19 and was going to be discharged soon. However, on 3rd July she bid the world a final adieu at the age of 71 due to a cardiac arrest. The entire nation was shocked whereas the film industry was left heartbroken with the choreographer’s sudden demise.

    Saroj ji’s daughter Sukaina Khan had told PTI today morning that they have performed her last rites at 7 am and a prayer meeting will be held after 3 days. However, the family decided to cancel the prayer meet due to the coronavirus pandemic. They shared a message on Saroj ji’s official social media handle which read: “Thank you for all your messages and for keeping Mummy in your prayers. Given the current COVID-19 situation, there will be no prayer meet. Whenever the situation improves, we will meet and celebrate the life of Saroj Khan.”

    Saroj Khan was one of the most talented and exceptionally graceful choreographers of the Hindi film industry. Her dance moves and beautiful expressions were always on point and almost every song that she choreographed in her 46 year long career turned out to be a hit. Master ji may have left us, but will continue to live on in our hearts forever.
