Security Heightened Outside Deepika Padukone's Home Ahead Of NCB Questioning, Sara Ali Khan Gets Mobbed At The Airport

Sara Ali Khan who was spending time away from Mumbai with her mother Amrita Singh and brother Ibrahim Khan in Goa amidst the ongoing pandemic arrived in the city after she received a summon from the Narcotics Control Bureau for interrogation in their drug probe.

The Love Aaj Kal actress will be questioned by the NCB on September 26 and is one of the first few big names in Bollywood to be called in aside from actresses Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet Singh and Shraddha Kapoor. Sara who took off from Goa this afternoon arrived in Mumbai amidst a sea of reporters waiting for her to land.

Sara’s name cropped up in NCB’s drug probe after Rhea Chakraborty allegedly named her during questioning for having consumed drugs in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s company. Sara and Sushant were co-stars in her debut film Kedarnath and reportedly dated briefly at the time.

Apart from Sara, Deepika Padukone who was shooting for Shakun Batra’s next in Goa is also due to reach the NCB office on Friday, 25 September. Following her name grabbing headline in the drug case Mumbai police has reportedly been asked to heighten security outside the office on the day of her questioning meanwhile security has also been tightened outside her residence on Thursday.

An NCB official confirmed that cops have been stationed outside Deepika’s Prabhadevi home as a precautionary measure.

Deepika’s name caught the lime light after Whatsapp chats from 2017 between her and her manager Karishma Prakash went viral.
