Shabana Azmi Critically Injured After Her Car Met With An Accident On Mumbai - Pune Expressway

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi’s car met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Khalapur toll plaza on Saturday. According to reports, her vehicle rammed into a truck and she is critically injured. The actress has been admitted to MGM Hospital Panvel. The incident took place at around 3:30 pm in the afternoon.

The news was shared on social media by Press Trust of India. The tweet read- “Actor Shabana Azmi injured in car accident on Mumbai- Pune Expressway: Police.”

The actress celebrated her husband, lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar’s 75^th birthday yesterday in a grand event, which was attended by some of the biggest Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Rekha, Tabu and Farah Khan among others. It was a retro themed party for which the couple dressed up in polka-dotted red and white western wear.
